Gall Mite resistance (we think)

   

We fuchsia growers, are have trouble with a little pest so small that you can't see it with the naked eye, goes by the name of "Gall Mite". Others have problems with this little fellow but not to the extent we do and without the impact we have experienced. We have bathed him in different liquids, dusted him with powders, tried to burn him out with fire, and other things we don't talk about in mixed company. We have/and still are having meetings about him but all to little or no avail.

So, starting sometime back, a few people decided to take a different approach to the little critter, you know live and let live. We of the American Fuchsia Society are starting to develop a list of those fuchsias that, the "Gall Mite", has little or no effect on. As this list grows the information will be placed on this web page and as we are proven wrong fuchsias will be taken off this web page.

Where we have or obtain pictures we will incorporate them into the listing.
